The Chairman of the Anambra State Local Government Service Commission<\/span><\/span>, Vin Ifeanyi Ezeaka<\/span><\/span>, has explored opportunities for collaboration with Nnamdi Azikiwe University<\/span><\/span> (UNIZIK) during a courtesy visit to the institution\u2019s Vice-Chancellor, Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

During the engagement, Ezeaka expressed the Commission\u2019s interest in building a productive partnership with the university, focusing on areas that would offer shared benefits to both institutions. He also requested consideration for a quota arrangement that could enable staff of the Commission to access opportunities such as university admissions.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the Chairman highlighted the existing cooperation between the Commission and the university, particularly in the training of local government personnel through the Department of Public\/Local Government Administration. This initiative, carried out in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria<\/span><\/span>, aims to enhance the skills, professionalism, and administrative effectiveness of local government workers across the state.<\/p>\n

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Anyaehie, emphasized that the university functions within clearly defined academic and administrative frameworks. He explained that decisions are guided by due process and noted that approvals are not made at his sole discretion.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, he assured the delegation of the university\u2019s readiness to support collaborations that align with its core mandate and comply with established procedures. He further advised the Commission to formally present its proposals, stressing that such requests must go through the appropriate administrative channels in line with the institution\u2019s regulations.<\/p>\n

The Chairman was accompanied by key members and officials of the Commission, including Ngozi Ewuim<\/span><\/span>, Anthonia Tabansi<\/span><\/span>, Uche Okafor<\/span><\/span>, the Commission\u2019s Secretary, Frank Anatogu<\/span><\/span>, and the Public Relations Officer, Okoye Chidi<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
