LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE COMMISSION HOLDS INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH THE UNIFIED LG HLGAs.

The Chairman, Anambra State Local Government Service Commission, together with the Board Members, today 29th January, 2026 hosts a renaissance interface with the 21 Local Government HLGAs, including the Secretary Local Government Staff Pensions Board on strategies to rejig the Council system into a seamless and productive centre of excellence for the year 2026, where due process transcends personal gratification so as to support Mr Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo initiative on grassroots development.

Speaking at Awka during the interactive session, the Chairman Local Government Service Commission, Vin Ifeanyi Ezeaka Commended the 21 local government HLGAs for their loyalty in providing both the financial and logistical support that nurtured the Solution Vanguard Grassroots Mobilization Support Group into a veritable ground breaking campaign machinery that assailed other vested interests, culminating in unquestioned Victory of Mr Governor for a well deserved second term in office.

The Commission Boss, challenged the Council HLGAs to assume total control of their local government administrative machinery to improve revenue generation for the local councils.
He advised them to block all revenue leakages, by devising a smart method to end touting in their local government councils, which he described as the singular and most deadly cancer eating deep into the finances and revenues of the council system to the detriment of Grassroots Development.
