LGSC Awka Chairman Bids Farewell to His Immediate Younger Sister, Late Mrs. Georgiana Ekeugo Mbanude
It was a solemn and emotional gathering on Thursday, March 5 2026, as family members, friends, government officials and well wishers assembled at Ubahudara, Uli in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State to pay their last respects to the Late Mrs. Georgiana Ekeugo Mbanude. The burial ceremony drew a large crowd who came to sympathize with the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission Awka, Hon. Vin Ifeanyi Ezeaka Esq (Ogbuagu ) over the loss of his beloved immediate younger sister.
The funeral rites which took place at the family compound in Ubahudara Village, were marked by deep reflection, prayers and tributes celebrating the life and legacy of the deceased. Mrs. Georgiana Ekeugo Mbanude was remembered by family members and community leaders as a loving mother, devoted sister and a woman who lived a life of humility, kindness and service to others.
The occasion witnessed the presence of several dignitaries who came from different parts of the state to show solidarity with Hon. Ifeanyi Ezeaka and his family. Among those in attendance were high ranking government officials, chairmen of various local government areas across Anambra State, political stakeholders, traditional leaders and numerous well wishers.
Their presence underscored the strong relationship and respect Hon. Ezeaka has built through years of public service and leadership.
They encouraged the bereaved family to remain strong and take solace in the impactful life she lived. Prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of her soul and for strength and comfort for the entire Ezeaka and Mbanude families.
Hon. Vin Ifeanyi Ezeaka while receiving sympathizers, expressed gratitude to all those who came from far and near to support the family during the difficult moment. He thanked government colleagues, community stakeholders, friends and well wishers for standing by the family and honoring the memory of his late sister.
The burial ceremony concluded with traditional rites and final interment, after which guests continued to share condolences and support with the family.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
